How To Use Mineral Spirits
To use mineral spirits, first, wipe down and clean the surface of the item you are using. Pour a small amount of the mineral spirit on a rag and gently rub the cloth across the surface of the item. Do not scrub harshly, as a little bit of product goes a long way. After, take a dry cloth over the item one last time. To dispose of the used rag, completely soak the rag in water to prevent contamination or fire, since mineral spirits are extremely flammable. Store leftover solvent in a tightly closed container and store in a cool, well-ventilated area.
Although mineral spirits are less potent smelling than typical paint thinning lacquers, must be used in a well-ventilated area. Mineral spirits are also highly flammable, so use with caution. For more information, please call (800) 563-1305 or contact us here!
