Description
Chill Guard is an alkaline solution that appears as a clear liquid. It primarily consists of sodium hydroxide at 12% to 16% by concentration and ethanolamine at 1% to 5% by concentration. Chill Guard contains corrosion inhibitors, acrylate copolymers, and chelating agents that work together to prevent scaling and corrosion on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This product is used to treat recirculating water systems such as cooling towers, air wash systems, and halogenated cooling systems.

Chill Guard Benefits:
- Low flammability
- Low reactivity
- Environmentally friendly ingredients
- Available in bulk sizes
Chill Guard Applications:
- Chill Guard is safe to use in cooling towers, air wash systems, and halogenated cooling systems as a water treatment product. Since it is highly concentrated, it should be used at a rate of 100 ppm. During first use, the rate should be 12-14 ounces per 1,000 gallons of water. For maintenance, the rate should be 8-10 fluid ounces per 1,000 gallons of water lost. Functional characteristics and feedwater chemistry should be analyzed to determine the best dose of Chill Guard for a particular system.
